Monitoring Severe Weather Across the Southern Plains and through the Southeast

GIC is monitoring conditions across the Southern Plains and Southeast for damages from severe weather including wind, hail, and tornadoes. NWS Storm Reports have included hail, wind reports, flash flooding, and tornadoes. Media is reporting several events of large and damaging hail failing in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and Oklahoma. GIC is monitoring social media, traditional media, and emergency management officials for damage reports and assessments. NWS convective outlooks include enhanced risk today for areas of Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida and tomorrow for areas of Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia.
