Monitoring Severe Thunderstorm Outbreak Expected from Southern Plains through the Southeast on Saturday and into the Ohio Valley on Sunday

GIC is monitoring conditions across the Southern Plains, Southeast, and Ohio Valley this weekend. A strong area of low pressure will develop across the Southern Plains on Saturday. Severe thunderstorms are likely from east Texas across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama on Saturday. A few strong tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail will be possible. The threat then stretches from the Ohio Valley into the Southeast for Sunday. As always, we invite input from all GIC members. If conditions worsen and you have requirements for your GIC member organization, please reach out to grayskay@geointel.org.
