Monitoring Major Winter Storm and Anticipated Impacts Across Central and Southeast US

A major winter storm will produce numerous impacts across the Central U.S. from the Central Rockies across all of the Plains to the Mississippi Valley and into the Upper Great Lakes. The storm is expected to generate heavy rains, severe thunderstorms, isolated flooding, blizzard conditions and heavy snows. Active thunderstorms on the south and southeast side of the storm push eastward out of the Southern Plains and into the Lower to Middle Mississippi Valley on Wednesday with heavy rains and isolated flooding. GIC is monitoring for damage reports and assessments. As always, we invite input from all GIC members. If conditions worsen and you have requests for areas your organization needs flown, please reach out to support@geointel.org.
